2 John
Introduction
The writer to the local churches in Ephesis , found it necessary to write a second letter againdealing with false teachers who had begun yo distort Christian and preach a early form of Gnosticism.
It was a form of false belief that it was impossible fpr Jesus to be perfectly God and human at the same time, suggesting that bececause theflesh was evil then the perfect and Holy God could not inhabit any flesh form.
Many had begone to follow this belief and was beginning to corrupt the beliefs of many Christians.
John speaks clearly to one of the fellowship groups as Lady whose and her children as a family who have strayed from the true way.It seems that a number from the fellowhip had come to see John to discuss the problems but it seems thatthey had accepted correction .
John warns the people not to support the people in any oneway and must reject their fakse teachings.
While John wnd this shory letter, more thought needed to begiven to the false teachers and how to irradicate such thinking from the fellowship.
